Precision in Every Note

I am a Chicago-based double bassist and educator with a Master of Music in Instrumental Performance from DePaul University and a Bachelor of Music in Instrumental Performance from Wichita State University.

My performance experience includes orchestral, opera, chamber, and musical-theatre work throughout Chicago, Kansas, and Missouri. I have served as Principal Bass with the DePaul Opera Orchestra, Assistant Principal Bass with the DePaul Symphony Orchestra, and Principal and Assistant Principal Bass with the Hutchinson Symphony Orchestra. I was also a section leader in the Wichita State University Symphony Orchestra for two seasons.

Beyond the concert stage, I have performed in productions with the DePaul Theatre School, DePaul Opera Theatre, Musical Theatre Kansas City, the White Theatre at the J, and the Arts Asylum. These experiences have helped me become a flexible, dependable musician who is comfortable working across classical, operatic, and theatrical styles.

As a teacher, I am passionate about making double bass instruction engaging, practical, and tailored to each student. My background in string pedagogy, conducting, music theory, history, orchestration, and applied performance allows me to help students build strong technique, musical confidence, and a deeper understanding of the music they perform.
